I want to tell you why I am running for Congress in the 4th Congressional District.
I am running to take back my country from liars, cheats and indolent congressmen and women, who have declined to read the laws they impose, have taxed and squandered the wealth of our people, have sullied the prestige and power of our nation, and have made our republic a debtor nation.

Christina Jeffrey Denounces Pelosi/Reid Hijack of American Health Care
GREENVILLE/SPARTANBURG — Christina Jeffrey, Republican candidate for Congress in South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District (Greenville/Spartanburg), today expressed her alarm that the U.S. Congress is planning 1/6 of the American economy.
A commentator on Fox News just today opined:
“If this health care bill is so good then why does everyone need a special exemption to vote for it?”
Christina Jeffrey Condemns Whispering Campaign Against Opponent

Christina Jeffrey has condemned a rumor published on SC Hotline, repeated on various blogs and falsely blamed on her campaign. As a victim of just this kind of rumor-mongering, in her case generated by leftist Congressmen, enemies of Speaker Newt Gingrich and their allies in the Clinton White House, Dr. Jeffrey is furious that such behavior would be attributed to her.
She stated, “At least one person from South Carolina is going to serve honorably in the House of Representatives free of the sort of ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ that has afflicted the majority of our Congress and political consultants.
This future Congresswoman is not going to add to the vitriol, the blackmail, the vicious rumor-mongering that passes for politics in our nation’s Capitol and more and more in our own South Carolina Capitol.
Dr. Jeffrey also wants to clarify other dis-information circulating the blogosphere. Her political consultant is Mike Rothfeld of Saber Communications, known for running tough and aggressive, but honorable campaigns. Her campaign manager is a farmer named Bill Welch, also an honorable man. “No one on my team has spread any rumors about any of
our opponents. The effort to involve me in this brouhaha is obviously politically motivated and that is its only connection to my campaign,” Jeffrey said.
Jeffrey stated that comments about one of her primary opponents, were “inappropriate, not authorized by this campaign, and not reflective the kind of campaign I am running. The issues confronting our nation and the 4th Congressional District are too important for this campaign to be diverted by unsubstantiated rumors and status quo politics. That said, I want to reach out to the family who is being hurt by all this and say,
‘My friends, I know what this is like and I hate it for you, for our State, and for our country.’ It is just this kind of ‘politics as usual’ that the Tea Party movement is fighting
to end. It is not something I will ever stoop to do – better to be an honest woman out of
politics, than just another D.C. politician.
We have had enough and I predict that whoever is responsible for starting this rumor will fail in 2010 as he deserves. The people are not going to tolerate the old-style politics anymore. Thank God!”
Christina Jeffrey announced her candidacy earlier this year. She is committed to restoring respect for the United States Constitution, decentralized government, states’ rights, and individual liberty.
